Tampa-based OPSWAT, specializing in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity, has acquired InQuest, renowned for it Deep File Inspection® and RetroHunting™ technologies. InQuest CEO Michael Arcamone becomes OPSWAT’s Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Federal Sales, while former InQuest CTO Pedram Amini joins as Chief Scientist.

Dcubed Secures Series A Funding for NewSpace Innovations

Munich-based NewSpace supplier Dcubed raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding led by Expansion BayBG. The funds will quadruple actuator production, pioneer in-space manufacturing, and establish a U.S. office. Dcubed, led by CEO Thomas Sinn, leverages Shape Memory technology and Origami structures for advanced space applications.

Intellias Acquires UK-Based NorthLink Digital

Chicago-based Intellias has acquired NorthLink Digital, a UK IT consultancy specializing in financial services and insurance. The acquisition aims to enhance Intellias’ offerings in EMEA. NorthLink, led by Graham Orrell, provides web and app development, digital design, and cybersecurity. This marks Intellias’ second acquisition in 2024.

Type One Energy Secures $82.4M Seed Financing

Knoxville-based fusion power provider, Type One Energy, closed an $82.4M seed round with backers like Centaurus Capital and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Led by CEO Christofer Mowry, the company aims to commercialize fusion energy by 2030 through its FusionDirect program, developing an optimized stellarator fusion system.

Noded Raises $4M to Enhance Note-Taking and Task Management Software

San Francisco-based Noded secured $4 million in funding led by Boldstart Ventures, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, 20VC, and First Hand Ventures. Led by CEO Chris Port and CPO Steve Wood, Noded offers technology for managing tasks, notifying users of important changes, and creating knowledge graphs.
