Electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric Mobility ने stock exchanges को जानकारी दी है कि कंपनी के Cell Business Head और Senior Management Personnel रहे Vishal Chaturvedi ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। Regulatory filing के मुताबिक, Chaturvedi 31 दिसंबर 2025 से प्रभावी रूप से कंपनी से अलग हो गए हैं।
कंपनी ने बताया कि Vishal Chaturvedi ने अपने इस्तीफे का कारण personal commitments बताया है। यह इस्तीफा ऐसे समय आया है जब Ola Electric अपने battery और cell manufacturing ecosystem को तेजी से scale कर रही है।
📉 2025 का पहला Senior Management Exit
यह 2025 में Ola Electric का पहला senior-management level resignation है। हालांकि, पिछले साल यानी 2024 के अंत में कंपनी को कई बड़े top-level exits देखने को मिले थे।
दिसंबर 2024 में:
- Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
- Suvonil Chatterjee, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
ने भी अपने-अपने पदों से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। इन exits ने उस समय Ola Electric के leadership structure को लेकर कई सवाल खड़े किए थे। 2025 की शुरुआत में Vishal Chaturvedi का जाना एक बार फिर से कंपनी के senior leadership churn की ओर इशारा करता है।
🔋 Ola Electric की Vertical Integration Strategy में Cell Division की अहम भूमिका
Ola Electric का cell division कंपनी की long-term vertical integration strategy का एक बेहद अहम हिस्सा है। कंपनी न सिर्फ electric scooters और motorcycles बनाना चाहती है, बल्कि battery cells से लेकर final vehicle तक पूरा ecosystem अपने control में लाने की रणनीति पर काम कर रही है।
इसी रणनीति के तहत Ola Electric ने अपनी indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell technology पर बड़ा दांव खेला है। यह cell design global EV ecosystem में इस्तेमाल होने वाली advanced battery formats में गिनी जाती है और high energy density के लिए जानी जाती है।
🏍️ Roadster X+ को मिली Government Certification
Ola Electric के लिए हाल ही में एक अहम regulatory milestone भी सामने आया है। कंपनी को अपनी Roadster X+ electric motorcycle के लिए CMVR (Central Motor Vehicle Rules) norms के तहत government certification मिल गई है।
खास बात यह है कि:
- Roadster X+ को 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack से power किया गया है
- Certification मिलने के बाद कंपनी अब इसकी commercial deliveries शुरू कर सकती है
यह approval Ola Electric की in-house battery cell technology को ground-level deployment तक ले जाने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम माना जा रहा है।
🚀 Bharat Cell के Wider Rollout की तैयारी
CMVR certification मिलने के साथ ही Ola Electric को अपने Bharat Cell technology के wider rollout का रास्ता साफ़ हो गया है। कंपनी पहले ही select scooter और motorcycle models में इन cells का इस्तेमाल शुरू कर चुकी है।
Industry experts के मुताबिक, अगर Ola Electric अपनी in-house cells को बड़े पैमाने पर deploy करने में सफल रहती है, तो:
- Battery cost में कमी आ सकती है
- Supply chain पर निर्भरता घटेगी
- Margins बेहतर हो सकते हैं
हालांकि, इस ambition को पूरा करने के लिए execution और leadership stability दोनों बेहद जरूरी हैं, ऐसे में cell business head का जाना strategic नजर से अहम माना जा रहा है।
💰 PLI Scheme के तहत ₹366.78 करोड़ की Incentives
Senior management exit के बीच Ola Electric को government side से एक बड़ी financial boost भी मिली है। कंपनी को Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components के तहत ₹366.78 करोड़ की incentives मिली हैं।
यह incentives:
- FY25 (March 2025 तक) के लिए मिली हैं
- कंपनी की manufacturing और localisation initiatives से जुड़ी हुई हैं
PLI scheme का मकसद भारत में advanced manufacturing को बढ़ावा देना और import dependency को कम करना है। Ola Electric इस scheme के बड़े beneficiaries में से एक बनकर उभरी है।
🇮🇳 Localisation और Manufacturing पर Ola का फोकस
Ola Electric ने लगातार यह दावा किया है कि वह भारत में EV manufacturing ecosystem को end-to-end build करना चाहती है। इसमें शामिल हैं:
- Vehicle assembly
- Battery pack manufacturing
- Cell development
- Software और electronics
PLI incentives और Bharat Cell जैसी technologies इसी strategy का हिस्सा हैं। कंपनी का मानना है कि long term में यही approach उसे global EV players के मुकाबले cost और scale advantage देगी।
🤔 Management Changes और Execution Risk
हालांकि, लगातार leadership changes investors और industry watchers के लिए चिंता का विषय बने रहते हैं। पिछले एक साल में Ola Electric ने कई senior executives को खोया है, और Vishal Chaturvedi का जाना cell business जैसे critical vertical में execution risk को बढ़ा सकता है।
Cell manufacturing:
- Capital intensive होती है
- Long gestation period लेती है

2025 Ola Electric के लिए execution का साल साबित हो सकता है—जहां strategic vision से ज्यादा operational consistency का इम्तिहान होगा।
